A year in Review // 2015

One of the first words that comes to mind when I think about the past year is : WOW!

What a year it has been! ENP had it’s best year yet, I got to work with so many amazing clients many of whom I won’t ever forget! I was just going through all of the photos I took over the past year and it’s hard to pick favorites but I think I’ve managed to come up with a decent recap of some of my best. So here it is, the ENP year in pictures for 2015! Enjoy.

2015, thats a wrap! Happy New Year !!!

A Wedding in DuPont Circle! // Sneak Peek

I kicked off my Labor Day weekend with a gorgeous wedding in the DuPont Circle neighborhood of DC.  The bride got all dolled up at the DuPont Circle Hotel, the first look was on the Spanish Steps, Ceremony at St.Matthews Cathedral, portraits in the circle itself, and reception at the Tabard Inn! This laid back couple had a most perfect day surrounded by their family and friends.  I am having so much fun going through their photos so of course I had to share a few!

Meridian Hill Park // Engagement

Hi folks! Another month as flown by and we are full swing into August now.  This is when the wedding season picks back up for me.  From now until the end of November my weekends will be jam packed with wedding fun!  This week I wanted to share some engagement photos from one of my November couples.  This duo met me in Meridian Hill Park a few weeks back.  It was a mild summer day around sunset, my favorite time for photos! Here is a look at the session…

Ice Cream on the Beach! // Business Profile

Hey there! It’s been a few weeks since my last post, sorry for the delay!  July has been a busy month.

A few weeks back I took a long weekend and visited my dear friend Lindsay.  Lindsay and her VERY soon to be husband Alper live in Rehoboth Beach, DE.  These two entrepreneurs recently acquired Archie’s Ice Cream, a long time favorite among beach goers in Rehoboth.  Lindsay runs the establishment, she got a crash course in homemade ice cream making over the winter to prepare for this new venture.  Naturally I had to photograph her at work while I was in town.  I visited with my camera on a sunny Monday morning, the big seller that day was the homemade lemonade and orangeade.  Here is what I came away with…

The Hyattsville Project // an ongoing series

This week I would like to share one of my personal photo assignments I have been working on for some time.  It’s called the Hyattsville Project and it’s an ongoing series documenting my neighborhood.  Recently it’s gotten some attention over at Capital Photography Center. Here’s a little excerpt from the article…http://capitalphotographycenter.com/blog/article/planning-a-personal-project

I’ve also just recently processed a few more rolls of film from the series and I have some new images from it that I just scanned.

Engagement // Picnic in the park!

A few weeks back on a lovely late spring evening I got together with Sandy and Neal for engagement photos.  This couple is so cool and a joy to work with.  We started at home where the couple packed a picnic, had a drink, and took some headshots – These two run their own businesses! Neal started Flashband, which is a website that helps musicians meet,  network, and play music. While Sandy runs S Squared  a organization development consulting firm.  This couple is super busy, but we took a few hours and had some fun getting to know each other and I left with some really fun photos.  Here’s a look…

Stay tuned for wedding photos, I’ll be documenting this couple’s BIG Day in the fall, and it’s going to be amazing!

NEW REVIEWS! // Spring 2015

Hi there!  This week I’m taking a break from sharing some photos to show off 2 new glowing reviews that just came in.  I’ve found that it takes a lot for someone to review a business and rate them with flying colors.  So, of course I want to share what people are saying about me.  It gives some insight to perspective clients (maybe thats you!) on what it’s like to work with me.

So here you go!

Toasted Wedding Event // Engagement Session Prize Winner!

Back in October Erika Nizborski Photography participated in the DC Toasted Wedding Event at Eastern Market. I had put a complimentary Engagement Photo Session in the raffle and Danielle and Jakub won! This couple was a pleasure to work with and I am so happy that they won.  Danielle lives and works in DC while Jakub is busy running his business in Portland Oregon.  The two have been long distance for a while and they are finally tying the knot this fall in New York State.  I met up with them a few weeks ago while Jakub was in town visiting.  We took a stroll around the Georgetown C&O Canal and the waterfront.  It called for rain that day but the sun stayed out just for us! Here are the highlights-

Have you ever won a raffle?

Engagement Photos // on Capitol Hill

Diane and Charlie had their engagement session in Lincoln Park on Capitol Hill. This was a gorgeous late spring evening, we really couldn’t have asked for a better sunset!  The couple wanted to have their session here because they are both history buffs- see the unique statue of Lincoln, and this lovely DC park is just bursting with character and charm.  Diane and Charlie are both very active cyclists- so of course we had to add in some subtle hints to the photos, see the HOTSAUCE and Cross Hairs caps.  This shoot was a ton of fun, I can’t wait for this couples fall 2015 wedding!
