Well, it happens to the best of us. I got super busy towards the end of 2017. Here we are, almost April and I have yet to post anything. At the end of 2017 I had the honor to document several important events: Weddings, families, communities, and political movements. I’ve been behind my camera A LOT and in front of my computer very little. So I thought I’d share the latest news!
I’ve been working on a personal project very close to my heart. It’s a documentary called 30 at Thirty. On November 14th I turned 30. Like most of us I was dreading the birthday but then it happened and I felt amazing! I feel like I’m the greatest version of me. I had also been brain storming ideas for a personal photo project to work on and at that moment it all came to be. So, I’ve given myself 1 year to interview and photograph 30 women at the age of 30. I’ve decided to keep it just inside the US, but I want to make sure I interview women from all over our country. To date I’ve been to: CA,DC,DE,FL,HI,IL,MO,OR and I’m trying to plan a road trip to TEXAS maybe in the Summer.
You can follow my journey on IG: @30atthirty or on FB: https://www.facebook.com/30atthirty/
Each subject gets to choose where she is photographed. The interview consists of the same 15 questions (I’ll get into that later). But I will share this- I’m learning thru this process that as a whole this generation is working hard to be our best selves, (no) not all of us are drowning in student debt, almost all of us want a family, and we all suffer from anxiety.
Here’s 18 portraits from the series so far:
Are you 30? Do you identify as female? If you answered YES to both of those questions and live in the US please contact me: firstname.lastname@example.org , I’d LOVE to interview you.
Stay tuned for more!

I hope everyone had a great New Years! We still have lots of events and weddings to share from Fall 2016 but here is a little recap of some of the highlights from the year! Thank you to all of my amazing clients, nothing is possible with out you!
Head on over to Catalyst Wedding Co. My guest blog post for them just went live this morning! Engagement photos, why are they a good idea? I tried not to ramble on for too long, but my feelings are so strong on the topic…
Thanks for reading!
Last Friday I kicked off my 2016 wedding season with Lili and Brian. These two eloped in the morning and met me down by the White House after lunch for portraits. We walked around Lafayette Park and then ventured into the Renwick Gallery. After learning about these two and their interests I suggested a few locations and we decided that the Renwick’s current exhibitions would make the perfect backdrop.
These two both enjoy nature and the outdoors but, being early March we didn’t have too many options. Thankfully the Renwick encourages photography! We braved the crowds and came out with a nice set of portraits!
Here are a few highlights…
The Bride, who knows an awful lot about bugs ended up giving an educational tour of the room in her wedding gown!
If you could have your portrait taken in an art gallery which one would it be?
Happy Friday! I just wanted to post an update and let you all know that if you tab over to my portfolio, also known as my official website you will notice that some things have changed. I’ve taken some galleries down to make way for some new work. Stay tuned and patient, this process might take a few weeks. I’ll let you all know when it’s done. 🙂 ALSO… I’ve been saving this photo for a post and I wasn’t sure when I was going to get to use it, I can’t wait any longer…
This is a recent portrait of my cousin Eugene. Last month my family threw a surprise 80th birthday party for my Nana. It was great to have everyone in the same room! This is Eugene pulling up to my Nana’s house in Palmetto, Fl.
We had flurries this morning here in DC, and it had me missing the Florida sun!
Have a great weekend, and stay WARM!
