The Family Wedding // Recap

About a year and half ago my mother-in-law who was newly engaged to her long time partner asked me if I would photograph the wedding. I was honored, and after much consideration I decided that I could do it.  I knew that it was going to be a challenge, after all- it’s family and they deserve the best!

The wedding was held at the Colonel Blackinton in Attleboro, MA. It was a seasonably warm November day, I was thrilled to be able to take portraits outside! The wedding had about 30 guests and was jam packed with details and sentiment. Everyone played a roll in making the day come together. Here is a recap of the day…Erika Nizborski PhotographyErika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski PhotographyErika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski PhotographyErika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski PhotographyErika Nizborski Photography  Erika Nizborski PhotographyErika Nizborski PhotographyErika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski PhotographyErika Nizborski PhotographyErika Nizborski PhotographyErika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski Photography  Erika Nizborski Photography       Erika Nizborski Photography

A year in Review // 2015

One of the first words that comes to mind when I think about the past year is : WOW!

What a year it has been! ENP had it’s best year yet, I got to work with so many amazing clients many of whom I won’t ever forget! I was just going through all of the photos I took over the past year and it’s hard to pick favorites but I think I’ve managed to come up with a decent recap of some of my best. So here it is, the ENP year in pictures for 2015! Enjoy.

2015, thats a wrap! Happy New Year !!!

Pumpkins + Mums // Wedding Sneak Peek!

In honor of Thanksgiving which is just a day away, I wanted to share this Halloween Wedding I had the pleasure to document over at The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek.  Kristen and Daniel love the outdoors, so it only made sense that they bring some nature to their BIG DAY.  Their first look was down by the creek, the pumpkin and mum lined ceremony was over looking the beautiful fall skyline, and the reception was held in front of a grand hearth with a roaring fire.  Kristen and Daniel were surrounded by family and friends on their wedding day, several of the guest traveled great distances to attend, all the way from Peru! Here is a look….

Sneak Peek // Annapolis Farmhouse Wedding

Hello! This Thursday I’m traveling all the way back to 3 weeks ago when Dorji and Hyun-Soo tied the knot.  These two got married overlooking the Chesapeake Bay, it was breathtaking. Their venue was a 1920’s farmhouse  that is actually listed on the popular Air BNB website.  This was my first Air BNB wedding, and let me tell you, it is the way to go!

The wedding was a fusion of cultures. Dorji is Butonese and Hyun-Soo is Korean, together they celebrated with both traditions.  For the Reception Dorji changed into her American wedding dress and the couple danced the night away.  Guests sent them off with a festive sparkler exit!

The wedding was coordinated my Sonia of Clarity and Class, Hair and Makeup was done by Yesli of YesliHMUA.

Here is a Sneak Peek of the day…

Are you and your partner from two different cultural or religious backgrounds? If so, what are your plans or ideas on how to bring them together on your BIG DAY?

Fall Engagement With Kelly & Scott

Last week I met up with Kelly and Scott in Lexington Park, MD.  These two love the outdoors and  woodworking- among other arts & crafts.  They are currently planning their fall 2016 wedding and I will not be surprised if they start crafting up a significant portion of the details for the BIG DAY. We spent the afternoon sanding wood in the backyard for one of their many projects and then we took a stroll around Saint Mary’s Historic Village, a favorite place for Kelly to go running.  We had a beautiful sunset on a unseasonably warm fall day! Here are some of the highlights…

Wedding at Mount Vernon Farm // Sneak Peek!

This past weekend I had the honor to document this wedding. Do they look familiar to you? I posted their engagement session back in June.  This incredible couple wed in Sperryville, VA at the Inn at Mount Vernon Farm.  This unique venue boasts a spectacular view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, which the ceremony overlooked.  Guests then traveled down the hill where the cocktail hour and reception were held in a barn of historic proportions.  This barn was formally the largest of it’s kind east of the Mississippi! Merriment was had by all… I wish I could show more photos right now, but this sneak peek will have to do for now…

Fall Family Portraits// Old Town Alexandria

Happy Friday!   This week I have been taking a look back at the Fall.  It was a very busy time of year.  It seems so long ago!  Right before Thanksgiving I shot a family portrait session in Old Town Alexandria, VA.  I love this place.  We met up when the lighting was perfect and made a few stops around town.  Here is what I walked away with…

#TBT// Sandy Ruins, NY

It’s Thursday and you know what that means.  This week I am taking a break form sharing a wedding and looking back on some photos I shot while in NYC last October for the annual Photo Plus Expo.  My friend John and his Fiancé Jess live in Brooklyn so I stayed with them for my visit.  When I arrived, John who is also a photographer (we went to college together) took me to see the Hurricane Sandy ruins down in Breezy Point.  I knew the damage was bad but I was shocked when seeing these ruins in person.  This public beach and boardwalk is completely abandoned.  I hope it gets restored and re-built soon.  These are the photos I walked away with…

A Stunning DC Courthouse Wedding! -Recap

One of the last weddings I shot in 2014 was a stunning DC Courthouse wedding!  The couple met in DC and wanted that to reflect in their wedding photos so we went down to the Lincoln Memorial and did the first look and portraits there.  The couple then had a intimate and simple ceremony at the courthouse surrounded by close family.

Here is a recap of the lovely and special day…
