The Family Wedding // Recap

About a year and half ago my mother-in-law who was newly engaged to her long time partner asked me if I would photograph the wedding. I was honored, and after much consideration I decided that I could do it.  I knew that it was going to be a challenge, after all- it’s family and they deserve the best!

The wedding was held at the Colonel Blackinton in Attleboro, MA. It was a seasonably warm November day, I was thrilled to be able to take portraits outside! The wedding had about 30 guests and was jam packed with details and sentiment. Everyone played a roll in making the day come together. Here is a recap of the day…Erika Nizborski PhotographyErika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski PhotographyErika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski PhotographyErika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski PhotographyErika Nizborski Photography  Erika Nizborski PhotographyErika Nizborski PhotographyErika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski PhotographyErika Nizborski PhotographyErika Nizborski PhotographyErika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski Photography Erika Nizborski Photography  Erika Nizborski Photography       Erika Nizborski Photography

Pumpkins + Mums // Wedding Sneak Peek!

In honor of Thanksgiving which is just a day away, I wanted to share this Halloween Wedding I had the pleasure to document over at The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek.  Kristen and Daniel love the outdoors, so it only made sense that they bring some nature to their BIG DAY.  Their first look was down by the creek, the pumpkin and mum lined ceremony was over looking the beautiful fall skyline, and the reception was held in front of a grand hearth with a roaring fire.  Kristen and Daniel were surrounded by family and friends on their wedding day, several of the guest traveled great distances to attend, all the way from Peru! Here is a look….

Sneak Peek // Annapolis Farmhouse Wedding

Hello! This Thursday I’m traveling all the way back to 3 weeks ago when Dorji and Hyun-Soo tied the knot.  These two got married overlooking the Chesapeake Bay, it was breathtaking. Their venue was a 1920’s farmhouse  that is actually listed on the popular Air BNB website.  This was my first Air BNB wedding, and let me tell you, it is the way to go!

The wedding was a fusion of cultures. Dorji is Butonese and Hyun-Soo is Korean, together they celebrated with both traditions.  For the Reception Dorji changed into her American wedding dress and the couple danced the night away.  Guests sent them off with a festive sparkler exit!

The wedding was coordinated my Sonia of Clarity and Class, Hair and Makeup was done by Yesli of YesliHMUA.

Here is a Sneak Peek of the day…

Wedding at Mount Vernon Farm // Sneak Peek!

This past weekend I had the honor to document this wedding. Do they look familiar to you? I posted their engagement session back in June.  This incredible couple wed in Sperryville, VA at the Inn at Mount Vernon Farm.  This unique venue boasts a spectacular view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, which the ceremony overlooked.  Guests then traveled down the hill where the cocktail hour and reception were held in a barn of historic proportions.  This barn was formally the largest of it’s kind east of the Mississippi! Merriment was had by all… I wish I could show more photos right now, but this sneak peek will have to do for now…

A Wedding in DuPont Circle! // Sneak Peek

I kicked off my Labor Day weekend with a gorgeous wedding in the DuPont Circle neighborhood of DC.  The bride got all dolled up at the DuPont Circle Hotel, the first look was on the Spanish Steps, Ceremony at St.Matthews Cathedral, portraits in the circle itself, and reception at the Tabard Inn! This laid back couple had a most perfect day surrounded by their family and friends.  I am having so much fun going through their photos so of course I had to share a few!

NEW REVIEWS! // Spring 2015

Hi there!  This week I’m taking a break from sharing some photos to show off 2 new glowing reviews that just came in.  I’ve found that it takes a lot for someone to review a business and rate them with flying colors.  So, of course I want to share what people are saying about me.  It gives some insight to perspective clients (maybe thats you!) on what it’s like to work with me.

So here you go!

Sneak Peek // A Glen Echo Bike Wedding!

Today I bring you a very FUN wedding Sneak Peek! Erin and Brendan chose to incorporate their love of bikes and karaoke into their spring wedding at Glen Echo Park.  Many of the couples friends biked to the wedding which made for some great portraits, and the best photo bomb I’ve ever seen!  After the ceremony the couple took an inaugural ride on a bicycle built for two and then met their guests over by the historic carousel for some fun.  Glen Echo Park is full of neon lights that illuminated the evening, and provided a fun backdrop as the guests danced the night away in the old bumper car pavilion!

Sneak Peek! // Stacy & Tim

It’s that time of year- Wedding Season! Today I have a Sneak Peek from Stacy and Tim’s beautiful farm wedding from a few weeks ago.  The whole family pitched in and made this wedding come to life! I was so excited to be a part of their day, it was an honor to capture these moments.  The couple exchanged sentimental personalized vows and then quickly went into a celebration full of delicious food, drink, and laughter.  The Bride, Stacy- even made her own dress! The couple was all smiles – all day!
