A wild Trip out WEST // Recap

Hey There!

In mid March I had a photoshoot out in Los Angeles.  The trip lined up with my Husband and I’s first year wedding anniversary. So we made a big trip out of it.  I flew out to LA for my shoot and then we both met up the next weekend in Vegas! Here is a recap of our travels…

I flew into LA on March 9th to cover the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, CA.  Here is one of my favorite shots from the conference.

I had a free day to go explore and took my friends advice and spent the day in Long Beach.  Of course it rained all day, so I explored the Aquarium of the Pacific..

Around 6pm the rain cleared and a there was a beautiful sunset, I drove to the beach where I found this interesting car… or golf cart? Once I walked onto the beach I saw a few kite surfers, I had never seen kite surfing in real life, I was mezmorized!

The next day I flew to Las Vegas where I met Stephen (He flew from DC to meet me for our vacation.)

This was the only photo I took in Vegas with my real camera 🙂

After 3 nights in Vegas we rented a one way car and drove to the Hoover Damn, and on to the grand Canyon from there.

I think these girls took the day trip from vegas. You can’t really see it but there are posing with their selfie stick, on the edge of the canyon…

We spent the night at the Grand Canyon on the Hualapai Reservation.  This is a view of our cabins and the guests circling around the campfire.

The next morning we watched the sunrise and then got an early start on our drive to Joshua Tree, CA. Here’s a view from the middle of the Mohave Dessert. We also hopped on historic Rt. 66 for a few miles.

We spent the night in Joshua Tree and then headed to LA the next day.  We did the Santa Monica Pier at Sunset.

It might sound like we had a busy hectic trip with all the driving and flying but it really was relaxing. I got to recharge my batteries so to speak before the busy event and wedding season begins!

What’s the best trip you’ve been on recently?

A year in Review // 2015

One of the first words that comes to mind when I think about the past year is : WOW!

What a year it has been! ENP had it’s best year yet, I got to work with so many amazing clients many of whom I won’t ever forget! I was just going through all of the photos I took over the past year and it’s hard to pick favorites but I think I’ve managed to come up with a decent recap of some of my best. So here it is, the ENP year in pictures for 2015! Enjoy.

The Hyattsville Project // an ongoing series

This week I would like to share one of my personal photo assignments I have been working on for some time.  It’s called the Hyattsville Project and it’s an ongoing series documenting my neighborhood.  Recently it’s gotten some attention over at Capital Photography Center. Here’s a little excerpt from the article…http://capitalphotographycenter.com/blog/article/planning-a-personal-project

ENP a year in review for 2014!

WOW 2014 was spectacular! This past year I had the privilege to work on 152 photoshoots. Ranging from engagements, weddings, babies, parties, corporate events, political lobby days, cycling, trade shows, high end productions, television production, a magazine cover, product shoots, architectural, and portraits.  I worked as a photographer, stylist, production assistant, lighting technician, and in one case a makeup artist.

In 2014 I not only grew my business but I also took on the role as Director of the DC Chapter of American Photographic Artists. In the spring I launched a new line of custom photo products, which are available to all of my clients.  In the gallery scene, I won best in show at the DC Exposed 2014 show at LongView Gallery in March.  In the month of September my photo collective, SliverCore Photographers had a group show at Gallery 1301 in Baltimore .  Then, I ended the year strong with my Hyattsville Project up on the walls at Green Owl Design.

I could’t be more grateful for the opportunity to participate in all of these things and to be able to live my dream each and every day! Thank you for all of you that make it possible for me.

Here are some photo highlights of my year…
